Overview of the Accelerated Degree Model

All Accelerated Degrees at New Covenant International Bible College are awarded through a research-based assessment model, rather than traditional coursework.

Students demonstrate competency through:

  • Independent research
  • Practical ministry application
  • Biblical and theological analysis
  • Reflective and experiential learning
  • Written academic submissions

Each degree level requires a major research project appropriate to the academic depth of the program.

This model honors:

  • Prior ministry experience
  • Spiritual leadership development
  • Lifelong learning
  • Kingdom service

Experiential Learning Assessment 

Experiential learning assessment is a method of evaluating learning gained through real-life ministry experience, leadership practice, and spiritual service.

Rather than traditional classroom instruction, students demonstrate their knowledge through research, reflection, biblical analysis, and documented ministry application.

This approach honors lifelong learning and recognizes the wisdom, skills, and spiritual growth developed through years of active service in the Kingdom.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (ALL DEGREE LEVELS)

All applicants must:

  • Complete and submit an official application
  • Pay full tuition at time of application
  • Submit a written research project (per degree level)
  • Work independently with provided guidelines
  • Agree to academic integrity and originality standards
  • Demonstrate ministry involvement or leadership experience

All submissions must be:

  • Original work
  • Spiritually and biblically grounded
  • Clearly written and well-organized

Research papers should be clearly written, well-organized, and professionally presented. Students are expected to include a title page, organized sections, referenced sources, and a final reference list.

The emphasis is on biblical insight, ministry application, and original thought rather than strict academic formatting.

BACHELOR DEGREE (Accelerated)

Degree Awarded By: Senior Research Paper
Tuition: $300 | Application Fee: $50

Purpose:

The Bachelor Accelerated Degree recognizes foundational ministry knowledge, biblical understanding, and practical leadership experience.

Research Requirement:

Senior Research Paper

Length:

  • 20–25 pages (minimum)
  • Double-spaced
  • Not including cover page and references

Content Must Include:

  1. Ministry or calling overview
  2. Biblical foundation of topic
  3. Research from Scripture and Christian sources
  4. Personal ministry application
  5. Reflection on growth and leadership development
  6. Conclusion with Kingdom impact

MASTER DEGREE (Accelerated)

Degree Awarded By: Thesis
Tuition: $400 | Application Fee: $50

Purpose:

The Master Accelerated Degree recognizes advanced theological understanding, ministry leadership, and strategic application.

Research Requirement:

Master’s Thesis

Length:

  • 35–50 pages (minimum)

Content Must Include:

  1. Abstract
  2. Problem or research question
  3. Literature review (biblical + scholarly)
  4. Ministry case study or practical application
  5. Theological analysis
  6. Leadership implications
  7. Conclusion and recommendations

DOCTOR DEGREE (Accelerated)

Degree Awarded By: Dissertation
Tuition: $500 | Application Fee: $50

Purpose:

The Doctor Accelerated Degree recognizes high-level ministry leadership, theological scholarship, and Kingdom contribution.

Research Requirement:

Doctoral Dissertation

Length:

  • 60–80 pages (minimum)

Content Must Include:

  1. Formal research proposal
  2. Defined ministry or leadership problem
  3. Biblical and theological framework
  4. Scholarly literature review
  5. Ministry model or strategy
  6. Leadership analysis
  7. Kingdom implications
  8. Final conclusions and recommendations

DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (PhD – Accelerated)

Degree Awarded By: Advanced Dissertation
Tuition: $600 | Application Fee: $50

Purpose:

The PhD Accelerated Degree recognizes exceptional theological scholarship, original contribution, and advanced Kingdom research.

This is the highest academic research level offered.

Research Requirement:

Advanced Doctoral Dissertation

Length:

  • 80–120 pages (minimum)

Content Must Include:

  1. Original research contribution
  2. Advanced theological inquiry
  3. Extensive scholarly sources
  4. Biblical exegesis
  5. Theoretical and practical frameworks
  6. Ministry innovation or new model
  7. Scholarly conclusions

  • Pneumatology (Doctrine of the Holy Spirit)

They are designed to recognize spiritual calling, support leadership growth, and deepen faith. These programs are faith-based and are not meant to replace traditional university degrees.
